This Gathering Place at Darlington Lake Wedding was nothing short of perfection! This venue is quickly becoming one of my favorites to shoot at! From the adorable log cabin home for the bridesmaids to get ready in, to the gorgeous ceremony site over the water, and the stunning sunset at the end of the night, the possibilities for photos are endless!

Their story

Amanda and Matt are such a great couple! Matt proposed along the Cliffs of Mohr in Ireland! Talk about romantic and a fairytale come true!

As much as these two love to travel, camp, bike, and go on adventures, they also love a good day of Netflix and chill. They love spending time with family and close friends, too. Matt says that one of his favorite dates with Amanda was the “time we climbed on the roof of his house.” I think anything that involves climbing to the roof sounds like a romantic gesture. 🙂

The wedding day

I was so excited to see Amanda had chosen a ball gown for her dress! I had been dying to photograph a bride in a ball gown all summer! It was a gorgeous day for a wedding. Although it was super hot during their ceremony, it started to pour right after we finished portraits! This cooled everything off for us. It was perfect timing. During the reception, I snuck these two away to watch the sunset and steal just a few more portraits with them! Both Amanda and Matt admitted that the thing they were most looking forward to after the wedding was finally moving in together! I am so happy and excited for these two to officially start their lives together!
