St. Margaret Mary Church Wedding | Kristin + Jamie

Jamie and Kristin’s St. Margaret Mary Church Wedding

This St. Margaret Mary Church wedding was a crazy emotional day for me. I have worked with Jamie for over 5 years as my go-to second photographer. He has shot with me for many of my past clients. I cried all day long! It was amazing being able to capture his special day, but I definitely missed him being a second for me.

My favorite part of the day was meeting his family. It was my first time actually meeting them, but it felt like I knew them already. They were all so welcoming.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I love a dress that isn’t the typical color. Kristin’s dress had a gorgeous light gray tulle over an ivory underlay. It was so flattering to Kristin’s skin tone. I loved it!

That morning, Kristin opened the sweetest present I ever witnessed. Throughout their relationship, Jamie had kept every movie ticket, every travel receipt, every cork of a bottle shared from his entire relationship with Kristin. He put a scrapbook together just like Ellie and Carl from Disney’s UP. There were so many adorable UP references used in this wedding design, including the stickers on Kristin’s shoes (scroll down to see how cute!! And if you love UP, you should also check out the sweetest UP-themed engagement session I shot!)

Their First Look was at Robin Hill Park, with the Mansion as their backdrop. I always love capturing this moment for my couples, and Jamie and Kristin’s was especially romantic. It was so emotional to watch them see each other. Roots and Wings seriously nailed the florals this day. I loved how she incorporated pink with bright citrus tones in the bouquets.

After the ceremony, we stopped at West End Overlook for some pictures. It was great seeing Jamie actually get to enjoy himself surrounded by his friends. And of course we couldn’t forget a classic “Groom in the Air” photo.

 The Reception

The reception was held at the Rivers Casino. Some of my favorite details there had to be the cool neon sign for the Greenes, the chocolate covered popcorn, and the UP “Great Adventure” cookies. Just in case I hadn’t already cried enough this day, Kristin did something extremely special for Jamie. Jamie lost his grandma just a few short months ago. Kristin had the dress she was going to wear to their wedding made into a bear with its own special seat.

After the tears were shed, this reception was one of the most fun receptions I’ve ever been to! And that’s not because I got to party myself, but because watching Jamie in his element with his loved ones was a sight to see. Mr. Party himself; he owned the dance floor and brought every single person to it.

I wish nothing but a complete lifetime of happiness for these two, and I cant wait to see them cherish this next chapter together. I appreciate them having me be a part of their special day, but I’m also so happy to have Jamie back as my second!
