Shannon & Daniel Wedding | St. Louise de Marillac Church & St. Clair Country Club

Shannon & Daniel’s wedding day took place at the beautiful St. Louise de Marillac Church & the classy St. Clair Country Club.

Shannon & Daniel were a couple I couldn’t wait to finally meet. Since the couple lives in West Virginia, we never had the opportunity to see each-other in person until the wedding day. However,  from our phone conversations and my semi-stalkerish social media following, I couldn’t wait for these two to get married!!!

Walking into Shannon’s hotel, I was so excited to see Shannon finally in person. Immediately I spotted her getting her hair finished by Beauty Justified by Justine, and she looked incredible!!!

There at the hotel, I got to meet many of Shannon’s VIPs including her mom Debbie, sister & Matron of Honor Molly, sister-in-law & Matron of Honor Heather, and her two other bridesmaids Meghan & Lauren. I also got to meet two of the cutest flower girls Ellie & Abbey. Shannon got these two cuties beautiful bracelets to wear and the girls were so excited to show them off.

Shannon was so organized the morning of. I was so impressed. She had all her beautiful details ready to photograph. Just in the last few years, her & Daniel’s siblings have been getting married and Shannon learned from all their lessons. She even had a timeline set in stone!

After capturing those beautiful details, we headed downstairs to meet the gentlemen. My first impression of Dan, was not only that he was a very tall man, but a FUNNY one! He was making me laugh as we photographed him getting ready with his groomsmen. Even Daniel’s groomsmen had all the good jokes in the morning. When your bridal party consists mostly of close family, its funny how personal and open you can get! Daniel’s VIPS were brother & Best Man Andrew, along with his other groomsmen , brother Peter, Brother-in-law Ryan, Connor , and good friend Matt.

Shannon had a surprise gift for Daniel that morning. It was a personalized handkerchief that wrote:

Daniel,

Life with you will never be boring.

I love you today, forever & always.

Shash

This rang true to me all day watching Shannon & Daniel together. They just had so much fun together. I enjoyed seeing these two play off each other and I had a blast working with them.

Before we left to capture Shannon in her dress, we got to see the cute ring bearer, Conner Jr., open his gift from Shannon & Daniel. He was so excited to see a stuffed firefighter sloth. Little Conner would steal many hearts throughout the day with his charming smile and smooth dance moves.

After getting the groomsmen photographed, it was time to get Shannon in her dress. Shannon was just a showstopper in her gown. She just glowed as her mother buttoned her up in the gorgeous gown from the designer Allure Bridals , found at the wonderful dress store Koda Bridal.  It was even nice to see her father’s reaction when he came in to see her for the first time too.

Just like that it was time to head over to the beautiful & unique St. Louise de Marillac Church. The church features stone accents and five seating sections that could house many.

When it came down to the ceremony, my favorite part was Daniel’s reaction to Shannon walking down. His big ole smile said it all. It was such a pleasure to watch these two get married. The church had a perfect spot for photographers to get the wonderful facial expressions when the couple is facing the priest. My oh my!! I loved the way these two were just looking at each other!!!

After the ceremony, when Shannon & Daniel were officially husband & wife, we celebrated their union at the classy St. Clair Country Club. They had a beautiful cocktail hour out on the outside veranda with music stylings from a live guitar player.

Their reception was held in the gorgeous ballroom and the decor was simply draw-dropping. I loved the eggplant floral touches in her menu cards, as well as the beautiful purple wine glasses that shined from the light. It was heard that this was Debbie’s idea, (Shannon’s mother). That was such a elegant way to add color to the space.

What my fellow vendors and I were most excited about was the DONUT WALL from Brittany Annes Rentals!!! Yes I said DONUTS!! Mhmm, I wish I hated donuts. haha

Before the celebration took off, the bridal party and I got to take some awesome pictures on the grounds. I loved photographing this bridal party because they had me laughing so hard. Especially all the groomsmen together was destined for giggles. I just knew this was going to be a blast reception.

All through the reception, anyone could tell how close with their family Shannon & Daniel were. Both Daniel’s Brother & Shannon’s sister in law Heather mentioned how much it meant to them that Shannon & Daniel were very involved in their children’s lives.  It was such a touching moment when Andrew got emotional stating that although growing up, he didnt always see eye to eye with his brother. But Daniel being there for him and his son has meant the world to him. ( I may of got teary eyed a bit too!)

We also got to hear from Shannon’s sister & Dad who had the crowd laughing! Shannon’s dad was quick to recognize Daniel’s parents and family as his own family. Even Daniel stood to recognize both of their parents as the four people who deserved to party harder than anyone else in attendance for their constant support and love.

After dinner, we snuck away with Daniel & Shannon to get some quick sunset pictures (My favorite time of day!!) After getting some gorgeous shots of these two, it was time to get back to the party! This wedding was such a great dancing wedding! So many guests enjoyed themselves including the 3 little ones who happened to own the dance floor.

Some of the special dances I sure appreciated was when Shannon’s family all joined on the dance floor to dance to the “McNamara Band” song, and I also loved some of the wonderful WVU classics like “Sweet Caroline” and “Country Roads”

Overall I loved my time with Daniel & Shannon and I cant wait to see what is in store for them next!!!
