Emily and Jason had the most beautiful day for their Lingrow Farm Wedding! After shooting their engagements at Gilifan Trail, I knew their wedding day would be fabulous but it far exceeded my expectations!
When we arrived at Lingrow Farms, Emily and her girls were getting ready in the big farm house. I was so excited to see that they had fully embraced their fall wedding – her bouquet and flowers matched autumn perfectly, including the yellow leaves. Lancaster Florist was truly amazing and set me up with the most gorgeous floral pieces to use in Emily’s detail shots. Capturing Emily getting ready was one of my favorite parts of the day. I absolutely loved the light in the yellow bedroom upstairs. There were so many delightful details to photograph. From the decor of the farm house to Emily’s lace sleeves and nude tulle backing on her dress! That dress was the perfect shape for Emily. She chose well!
Before the ceremony, Emily and Jason wanted to say a prayer together without seeing one another. I looked all around the venue to find a spot. Eventually I found a wonderful, large tree full of fall colors. We made sure Jason did not see Emily as they stood on opposite sides of the tree. As they reached around the tree to hold one another’s hands, I started to cry. That moment was so emotional and beautiful to witness! Jason said a beautiful blessing, then we took them away to get ready to make their walk down the aisle!
I have photographed many ceremonies in my photography career, but you know it’s something extra special when the bride makes an epic entrance to her wedding on a horse-drawn carriage. All day long I was in love with the horses on the grounds – I actually used to compete when I was younger! I definitely have a soft spot in my heart for horses.
After the ceremony I of course got to take Emily, Jason, their family, and their bridal party portraits. Emily and Jason’s bridal party may have been the most fun bridal party I had all year – especially during their portrait time! I think you’ll see what I mean as soon as you see their pictures!
Keeping in theme with the rest of this epic day, Emily and Jason had an equally epic entrance into the reception. Though it didn’t involve horses this time, it did involved the Greatest Showman. They came in crazy dancing to this glorious soundtrack. It had the whole reception room going crazy! After dinner we whisked Emily and Jason outside to do sunset portraits. We got to spend even more time with the horses that live on the grounds. Dreamer the horse let us pet and cuddle and pose him! It made for the most gorgeous pictures, as did the perfect sunset and the reflection on the pond.
