Heinz Memorial Chapel Wedding

Leslie + Sean

It wasn’t too long ago that I posted Leslie and Sean’s engagement session at Point State Park. Today I’m excited to share their Heinz Memorial Chapel Wedding with you! It was a beautiful, sunny day with so many great details and moments. I am so happy I got to be a part of it all!

Getting Ready

It is always so special to be a part of my bride’s getting ready room and space! Leslie’s details included her Harry Potter themed bridal hanger. With the word “Always” written across the top, my Potterhead heart just melted. I totally geeked out and knew it was going to be the best day! Not only that, but she truly looked like a princess. With her sparkly tiara, she was giving Meghan Markle a run for her money! It was so gorgeous!

Another moment I have come to love being a part of, is witnessing my bride and groom exchanging gifts! I love seeing them read letters from their soon-to-be spouse, or opening a surprise. It is always such a tender moment to capture. After Sean dressed and opened his gift from Leslie, the boys stopped for photos at a few different spots. These included the VFW and his mom’s house where he grew up.

Husband and wife

This chapel floored us all! It is so elegant and ornate – the perfect touch of whimsical, fancy, and unique. Following their sweet vows, we made sure to hit up several different Pittsburgh locations for their portraits! For starters, right outside Heinz Memorial Chapel is their beautiful garden and steps which always make for gorgeous photos. We made the most of any and all floral spots around Pitt Campus. As a way to pay tribute to both Leslie and Sean’s military background, we photographed them in front of the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall. We also hit up Schenely Park with some great green views. Then finally, we headed to the Le Mont, sitting on Pittsburgh’s famous Mt. Washington Overlook. They got the most amazing variety of portraits!! I just LOVE it when my couples give me ample time for their bride and groom pictures. It makes the day that much sweeter for the two of them, and of course, it’s fun for me too!

Reception at Le Mont

Leslie and Sean did such a wonderful job incorporating their colors and theme into the decor of the entire day, but the reception especially blew me away! The cake and centerpieces were stunning, and I loved their sweetheart table. These two even let me take them out one last time for golden hour portraits! We walked up the street to the Monongahela Incline to get those final city shots. From start to finish, these two had a perfect day!! Leslie and Sean, I wish you all the best in the world! Thank you for letting me capture this chapter in your love story!
