Shooting Point State Park engagement photos is always a favorite of mine, and Leslie and Sean really stepped it up! They both are active members of the Air Force. So, we started their session with the two of them wearing their uniforms. While I was photographing them, so many people stopped and thanked them for their service. It made me feel so good to know that people still acknowledge and appreciate their daily sacrifices.
One of the many sacrifices that Leslie and Sean have made because of their service in the Air Force is being apart from one another! Because they are stationed in different states, they have been planning their wedding from afar! This made it a little hard to schedule their engagement session. In fact, we had to reschedule a few times and ended up shooting these only a week before their wedding! It was so great to finally meet them in person. We have had several three-way phone calls but it’s always nice to see the faces behind the voices on the phone!
Though their jobs has created some challenges for them, they also have the Air Force to thank for introducing them to one another! They’ve been together for almost 8 years now. They were on a work trip together and one of Sean’s friends had invited Leslie to join their group for dinner. Leslie had been wanting a chance to get to talk to Sean, so she eagerly agreed. The rest, as they say, is history.
Since then, these two have enjoyed all their adventures together. Leslie says one of the best times of their lives together was their trip to Yellowstone. They rode horses up a mountain, went fishing and hiking, and saw bear, wolves, elk, and buffalo. She says she took about 1200 pictures during that trip! Besides vacationing together, they also love just being together! Cooking together, seeing movies – or, as Sean says, “trying anything new together.”
Both Leslie and Sean mentioned that their favorite quality about the other was their ability to value love above all else. They both also said that they couldn’t wait to finally be married and actually have time together again! I’m so happy for these two! I can’t imagine how difficult it must be to always be apart, and now they can finally be together!
