Wedding Inspiration | Cator Woolford Gardens | Atlanta, Georgia

This gorgeous  Vintage Garden Party inspiration, in Atlanta, Georgia, was held at the marvelous Cator Woolford Gardens. “So much more than a garden” is their welcoming message, and my oh my is this message spot on.  Located just a few miles from downtown Atlanta, this beautiful piece of history sits on 39 acres and is truly a hidden gem of the Druid Hills. Cator Woolford Gardens, an inspiration itself,  is a historical estate created for Cator Woolford in the 1920s. Redesigned in 1996, now the gardens full purpose is to help fund The Frazier Center, a non-profit organization that supports children and adults who have developmental disabilities. All proceeds from wedding events held at this gorgeous garden, go to The Fazier Center and its mission.

Cator Woolford Gardens was a beyond perfect setting for this Vintage Garden Party styled shoot. Planning and Design by Heather Benge Events, it is full of appeal and inspiration for any bride. The venue itself was a huge character in play for the design, as it hosts many photographic opportunities throughout the property. Acting as a one stop shop, it can host ceremonies and receptions.

For the reception table decor, constructed and designed by floral royalty Intrigue Teaches, was nothing more than splendor! With its big, beautiful centerpiece, it could capture the oohs and ahhs of any wedding guest. Overflowing with floral, it was a centerpiece that you could only find in a garden.  Hints of a vintage tea party filled the table with classic place settings and tea cups from  Tea and Old Roses Rentals. Each place setting was equipped with a laid out lily which completed the tables style and look.

Calligraphy designer Gracefully Made really did beautiful work for this shoot. The invitation suite was a wonderful sneak peek to the timeless wedding theme with its elegant design and silver font color, nothing too overwhelming to the eye. A beautiful “M”, styled at the top, gives a family crest feel and a gentle hint to the the lovely estate.  Lastly, for an emotional and personal touch for the ceremony, soft romantic vow books were wrapped in light pink ribbon, a great color that could stand out against the gorgeous dress from CTO Bridal. The dress worn by beautiful bride, Jessica Woodall, was an absolute show stopper with its high waist silhouette and its light pink, layered tulle bottom.  The elegant, shoulder strapped top demands attention with its heavily beaded, ivory lace. The difference in texture and color, really made the dress stand out on its own against the lush gardens behind it.

Another sweet surprise from this floral dream shoot, was the cake from A Joys Cakes. It was a work of art with its hand painted flowers on top of pastel pink and blue fondant. The cake sat atop of a vintage side table, below a light purple magnolia tree.  Vintage hints were added to several areas of the property including a wonderful sitting area supplied by Southern Vintage, for guests to enjoy. With its beautiful cream and pink furniture, it would be suitable for any garden party . One of my favorite vintage hints was the bar cart decor serving champagne with an array of pink depression glasses( Tea & Old Roses), and accents of pink floral additions.

Pinks and creams were the colors that shined throughout this design, and nothing shined more than the floral pieces of art. The bouquet stood centerpiece for the Bride and Groom. The bride’s bouquet was filled and stylized with gorgeous shades of pink. Intrigue Teaches left nothing bare in this wonderful design. Everything had a floral detail. From the escort canvas, to the uplifted ceremony space, all floral  coincided with the brides bouquet and magnificent reception centerpiece.

Overall, this Vintage Garden Party shoot, by Heather Benge Events, was simply stunning with all its attention to detail. The magnificent property of Cator Woolford Gardens  stole my focus, with its charm and beautiful grounds. Anyone could fall in love with this romantic garden oasis, and it would be ideal for any Atlanta bride. From its endless garden pathways, its beautiful grand staircase, Italian style patio and charity mission, Cator Woolford Gardens is a one of a kind venue. All I can think of is when I could get to shoot this romantic piece of history again!
