Succop Nature Park Wedding | Melissa + Trevor

While the past few months have been pretty crazy at my house with construction, rewiring the electricity, and my editing computer being constantly moved, I am so excited and happy to finally be able to share Melissa and Trevor’s Succop Nature Park Wedding!

This day was seriously beyond perfect. It was basically a unicorn wedding where we were either ahead of schedule or right on time all day long. Everyone had the timeline I created for them. Family members were exactly where they were supposed to be when they were supposed to be there. I mean, the family portraits only took 10 minutes. It was a wedding photographer’s dream come true!

Not to mention, I loved this venue. The Succop Nature Park has so many options and places to shoot all within a five minute walking distance. It is so convenient for a wedding day!

Their Love Story

I loved how playful Melissa and Trevor are together. These two are just so much fun with each other. They even chest bumped each other at one point during photos! They are a prime example of a team, constantly supporting and hyping each other up. After almost 6 years together, they truly seem like soul mates.

These two met at the gym. Trevor pulled the classic pick-up line of trying to help Melissa out with a few moves, but she knew what he was really trying to do. When I asked them about their first date together, Melissa remembered so many little details – like what kind of sandwiches they ordered and what each of them wore. It was obvious that that night meant a lot to her.

Trevor used the prime opportunity of celebrating Melissa’s birthday and her acceptance into Georgetown University to propose. They went out to dinner together, overlooking the water. Melissa thought he had simply bent down to tie his shoe but then all of a sudden he had pulled out a ring! “It was magical!” Melissa says. When I asked Melissa what her favorite thing about Trevor is, she said his generosity, his sense of humor, and their ability to openly communicate with each other. Trevor said that he can’t wait to travel and see the world with Melissa, and that he is most looking forward to being their own family together.
