Kirsten + Shawn | Indiana Country Club

Kirsten and Shawn’s wedding at the Indiana Country Club was the first wedding that I shot after giving birth to my daughter. Even my first long day away from her was hard, Kirsten was so sweet and understanding the entire day and would ask me, “How’s your baby girl?” I could not have asked for a better wedding to jump back into work with! The entire day was filled with family, friends, love, and laughter.

The Wedding Day

Kirsten and Shawn have the most amazing family and friends. Shawn has a son, Brody, who I met earlier at their engagement session. Brody is adorable and loves his dad and Kirsten so much. He had a first look with Kirsten in her wedding dress (which was stunning, by the way) and his reaction was too cute! Shawn’s reaction to Kirsten coming down the aisle was also super emotional. You can easily see how much love is between the three of them. At the reception, Kirsten’s maid of honor talked about how although they were just married that day, they became a family years ago. The best man and maid of honor even switched clothes for the bridal party entry and for their speeches, making the entire room burst into laughter.

Everything from the beautiful details and flowers to the precious moments like Kirsten reading vows to Brody made the entire day so special. I am so excited for Kirsten, Shawn, and Brody as their start the next chapter of their lives!
