Ten things I bet you didn’t know about me

I thought it was time for something FUN on my blog!! Something for my brides and couples to get to know who Danielle is besides the lady with the cameras 🙂 One of my favorite parts about my job is not just taking pretty pictures, but telling the STORIES of my couples. I do this best when we click on a deeper level and have friendship as a foundation. So, my friends, here are 10 things I’ll bet you didn’t know about me!

1. My music tastes come and go with the seasons.  Summer I am belting country. In the fall I listen to indie, alternative rock. Winter I am jamming to pop songs, and spring I tend to listen to the oldies.
2. I love to get my nails done on the regular and I admit, I’ll splurge on a massage every once in awhile. But if I am being truly honest, some of the best self-love, peaceful things I do to keep myself from losing it, is being out in nature. I like going places and taking in the view.
3. I could live off of crab meat and artichokes?
4. CONFESSION: Vampire Diaries is my guilty TV pleasure….and also Lost, Game of Thrones, or How I Met Your Mother
5. For the longest time I thought I wanted to be an actress and work in the movies when I was a kid. But when I looked in my 5th grade yearbook, I had actually said I wanted to be a photographer and a babysitter! Ha! And that is exactly what I do … I watch my friend’s kids for her and have my business. So I guess my 5th grade self would be proud!
6. I owe a bottle of Jack Daniels for finally getting Josh to admit his true feelings for me!
7. Speaking of Josh, him and I? We are kids at heart who act super goofy and baby talk all the time (When no one is looking, of course). Most the time, we argue just for the sake of arguing and to get each other to laugh. He thinks my angry face is the cutest thing in the world. I hate it. We are that weird couple who still sits next to each other when we go out to eat, never across from each other. Even if we are alone.
8. If I weren’t a photographer, I would be in the acting world! Or maybe an educator.
9. My camera obsession began when my mom bought me my first camera at age 8. I took photos and videos of everything! Wanting to remember it all, I even made my own magazine with the pictures and stories!
10. I was actually planning on going to college to be either an actress or a teacher when I took a job as a second videographer for a friend of a friend’s wedding business. The first wedding I did, I knew I found what I was supposed to be doing. I fell in love with it. Capturing real love, authentic love.And ONE BONUS ONE (because I know you’re not done learning about me…and because I can’t NOT mention my love for the ocean 😉 )
11. My ideal date would be ON THE BEACH!! We’d wake up with an ocean view, breakfast on the terrace, lounging at the pool eating pizza, drinking pina coladas, afternoon nap, and dinner hibachi style, cuddles in the hammock listening to the waves….BEST DAY DATE EVER.

I share these things with you not just to toot my own horn. In fact, it takes courage to share this side of me! But I hope that when it comes time to be in front of my camera, you feel more comfortable showing YOUR true colors with ME!
